The sell diamond jewelry here sign was a bright pink neon color. I had passed it many times on my trips through town but today was much different, I was planning of doing what the sign said: sell diamond jewelry. I had been hoping that the talk around the office of how we were defiantly going to be all let go at the end of the month would change, but it had not.

I was given a pink slip on Friday and told not to report to my job on Monday. There was no promise that they would ever open the doors again or call any of us back so we had to move on and find a different way to pay the bills. My friend Jill suggested that I sell diamonds that I had in a safety deposit box but I did not want to have it come to that. I figured that if I had to sell diamonds then I might just start with the diamond jewelry that I had acquired over the years from my grandparents.

I had had an appraisal done of some of the pieces that I thought were truly valuable a few years back to insure them and they were worth over twenty thousand dollars. I knew that gold was also at an all time high right now so they should be worth a bit more than that today.
